Rachel Joyce

ITU Long Distance World Champ and Kona Contender

After making a switch in careers from an attorney to professional triathlete, "Joycey" has made a steady climb in the sport.

In 2008 Rachel took the plunge and resigned from her job in London to give her best shot at being a professional triathlete. Known to be a diesel engine, she is among the best Iron distance racers in the world.  Rachel has been able to capture a world title and six Iron distance titles.  She has stood on the podium (top 3) at 3 of her last 4 attempts at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.  Even more impressive, she put on an Ironman clinic to capture the 2017 Ironman Boulder crown only 9 months after becoming a new mom!   Due to the Ironman World Champs qualification process, Joycey had to do the unthinkable for a Kona contender:  3 Ironman races in 10 weeks!  After she won Ironman Boulder, she lined up for Ironman Canada and placed 4th with a little bit of illness in toe.  4 weeks later, she lined up again and took the win at Ironman Mont Tremblant to punch her ticket to Kona.  Nothing fires up Rachel more than when someone doubts her extraordinary drive .  Rachel is triathlon's leading professional advocate of Equal Women's rights (#Drive.Focus.Inspiration).
