Ellie started racing triathlons at 11 years old, after dabbling in cross country and athletics as a young child. She turned professional in 2010 at 17 years old and spent 6 years racing the ITU circuit as a short course athlete.
In 2016 she made the switch to half distance racing after losing the enjoyment for the sport and was on the brink of retirement. She had some sudden success in her first year racing the half distance, with two IRONMAN 70.3 wins and two Challenge half wins.
Currently, she shares her time between her hometown of Brisbane, Australia and (US hometown) Boulder Colorado, chasing the endless summer. When home in Australia, she likes to spend time at the beach with family and friends. In her spare time she is studying part time towards a bachelor of Health Science (food and nutrition). #MillennialWomen #Disciplined #BrightFuture
