Brands Can Lead Equality in Sport

I applaud the international federations who are working to encourage gender parity.  But, it’s going to take the support of the world’s leading sports brands to reach the goal.  Quotas and policies can be put in place all day long, but apparel & equipment manufacturers and mainstream brands also need to be willing to step up endorsement dollars and commit to featuring female athletes in advertising to help end a long-standing discrepancy.  This goes beyond #MeToo, women need to confidently and fearlessly drive change by standing up for themselves and each other.  Well said Stephanie Hightower.
