Canadian Super Couple – Ironman and 70.3 Champions

Heather and Trevor Wurtele caught the triathlon bug in 2004 after spending a couple years adventure-racing. Both of sporting backgrounds, Trevor was a very competitive ski racer and Heather a rower, the popular Canadian couple has grown a legion of fans in triathlon circles all over North America. In addition to Heather winning 4 Ironman Titles, including the North American Championships in 2008 as a full time scientist, the 2011’s highest ranking North American at the infamous Ironman Hawaii and most recently, a 1-2 placement at the 2012 Ironman New Orleans 70.3 event by the couple, Team Wurtele has become known for their home on wheels; The Wurtele RV. Turning Professional in 2009, Heather and Trevor sold their home in Victoria, and took up life in an RV (with their cat and tri-gear) and hit the triathlon circuit from the road. They have been winning races ever since. Team Wurtele are long distance triathlons next future stars.
