Stephen Hackett comes from a triathlon pedigree as his sister Nicole Hackett was one of the top racers for Australia. He is always one of the sure bets to lead any triathlon swim out of the water and subsequently finds himself racing at the front of the field. Hackett concentrated on the non-drafting short course races and won the Memphis in May triathlon in 2008.  Starting in late 2009, Stephen is planning his first full season of training and is doing so under the guidance and training partner, Craig Alexander. 

2010 will be a break through year for Hackett
