Alexander's Newton Distance S running shoes were smoking at the finish line after he threw down a 1:11:50 run (which is 5 1/2 minute miles if anyone is counting) and sent a wave of fear to his Ironman Hawaii competitors who will be facing the World Champ in 4 weeks in Kona.

Those that follow the sport of triathlon heard a very clear message from Craig 'Crowie' Alexander this weekend at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. The 4 x World Champion and the sport's only male to have won both the Ironman 70.3 and full Ironman World Championships posted a 3:58:48 win time at the difficult venue of Lake Las Vegas - a course that Ironman CEO claimed would be nearly impossible to go under 4 hours.
