With a decent swim and a typical Caveman bike leg (i.e. full throttle), Stoltz took a commanding lead within 10 minutes on the bike, despite running into some trouble with closed gates on the course and eventually ripping the zipper off his race kit top. But for those that know the soft spoken Caveman know that he is as tough as they come in the sport of triathlon and despite a hard run course, he held on for yet another victory on the Xterra global tour; a great start for his 2012 campaign to regain his world title.
